Our client – Vinted is Europe’s biggest pre-loved fashion marketplace, with 50 million members in 15 countries. Their mission is green: they want to make second-hand the first choice globally. Vinted is currently looking for Site Reliability Engineer (Storage and background jobs).
Their team is responsible for storage and background jobs solutions, based on Redis, Memcached, Etcd, Ceph, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Sidekiq, and other technologies like Centos7, RockyLinux, Kubernetes, Ruby, Go, Chef, MySQL, Vitess, Prometheus, Envoy, etc.
Job Description
- Write code to automate manual work
- Help Vinted engineers develop performant, secure, and scalable services
- Identify opportunities for improvement in our infrastructure and build solutions to implement them
- Monitor and debug problems in production to meet established SLO's
- Collaborate with the team on other infrastructure projects
- Participate in an on-call rotation with the team every ~7th week
Requirements
- Comfortable with standard software development components such as code version control system (git), automated testing, continuous integration
- Have hands-on experience in software development or/and infrastructure automation
- Have a good understanding of IT infrastructure
- Fluent in Lithuanian and expert in English languages
- Interested in building non-standard, very reliable and scalable solutions on own on-premises infrastructure
