Network and Access Engineer

Responsibilities
- Responsible for executing the strategy set by architecture with a strong focus on firewall, Load Balancing, routing, and networking technologies
- Responsible for designing, building, testing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing the infrastructure and operations in accordance with security policies and guidelines. Network Engineers typically spans routing, switching, networking
- Aid in fixing network security issues of our infrastructure, suggest recommendations after researching best industry practices, creating documents for its configuration and installation. Network Engineers must know MPLS, VRF, VPN, and network routing
- Manage LAN networks, including switches, routers, and other related equipment. They identify and troubleshoot complex network problems affecting LAN, WAN, and Internet connections
- Suggest, schedule, and conduct hardware and software enhancements, upgrades, reconfigurations, and patches
- Coordinate with engineering and business units to deploy and implement best practices to meet the objectives of the organization
- Collaborate with system users and other technical colleagues
- Coordinate and work on multiple cross-functional initiatives/work groups and projects as a team leader or advisor
- Develop and build highly complex systems that may have system-wide impact, integrate across the organization, and involves multiple technical environments and disciplines and complex infrastructure solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or technical institute degree/certificate in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
- Typically requires 5 or more years of relevant IT work experience
- Relevant certification is required
- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of a broad range of hardware and software products
- Good analytical with attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal skills; effective team player
- Exceptional presentation skills
- Ability to prioritize workload
- Technical leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution
- Advanced Firewall experience (Palo Alto preferred)
- Network Load Balancer experience (Citrix NetScaler preferred)
- Network automation and scripting
- Understanding of ITSM
