About the position
As Data Engineer in Data Lake unit, you will work in an environment with multiple Agile teams located in both Stockholm and Vilnius, consisting of experts in various Big Data technologies. Your main responsibilities will be to develop and maintain new technical capabilities within the Hadoop data lake and create data pipelines to make data available for various business users and applications.
Our technical environment consists but is not limited to Java, Scala, Python, Hadoop, Kafka, NiFi, Spark, Grafana and Elastic Search. Here you will have a chance to make a difference and work with challenging tasks. You will have great opportunities to both develop and take further steps in your career working within a highly collaborative environment.
 
Your profile
To succeed in your role with us, you should be a GEEK and you should LOVE solving ENGINEERING problems. In order to be successful, you most probably have extensive experience in Java programming language. Having experience with Linux, Scala, Python, Hadoop, Kafka, NiFi, Spark, Grafana or Elastic Search would be considered as an advantage.
We expect you to have an analytical mindset and an ability to solve complex technical problems as well as have a passion for discoveries and challenges that drive your personal development and professional growth. You should enjoy working with new technologies, encourage and drive change and continuous improvement in teamwork, tools and processes you will be using. Being a team player open for growth and learning is thus crucially important for the role.
In our daily job, we work closely with our team-mates in Stockholm therefore travelling might be included in your role (3-5 days a month).
